initial contact
Tell me about your family using the contact form provided on this site. You will hear back from me within 48 hours to answer your questions and begin planning your session with you!

booking
When you are ready, I will send you all the paperwork via an online portal that is super easy to use! A $400 nonrefundable retainer is required to reserved your spot. Then, the fun begins! We start putting together the details of your session.

your session
The most important part of our time together is to relax and have fun! Make the most of this undistracted time to focus on your kids and connect with them. THAT is the secret ingredient to creating joyful images!

photo processing
After your session, the film is sent off to my trusty lab whom will develop the negatives and scan them back to me in a digital format. Your images are then edited by me one at a time to ensure a cohesive presentation.

gallery delivery
This is the best part! You will access your beautiful gallery via an online album. From there, you will be able choose the package that best suites your needs and order additional prints directly from my favorite print shop!

Frequently asked questions
will my images be in digital format?
Yes! All the film images are scanned by the lab into jpeg files, then are carefully edited by me for color adjustments. After that, they are uploaded to an online gallery for your ease of access. Fine art prints are available for purchase directly from your gallery.
Why film?
I believe this is the best way that I can serve my clients by creating images that I would want for my own family. Film portraits have a painterly quality to it that evokes emotion. The texture of the resulting photos take you back in time, almost like a memory. The colors of a well-exposed film portrait have no comparision. They are soft, ethereal, and yet true to life.
what if my kids don't cooperate?
Kids are kids, and that's what makes them so fun to work with! No two sessions are ever the same. I love how family sessions are so organic, depending on the personality of the children and dynamics within its members. I have four kids and have worked with young families over the years, so I do have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;) In the end, if you are relaxed, enjoying yourselves, and trusting me through the process, it will help calm the kids down as well. Simply enjoy them, play with them, and allow me to do the hard work for you!
